ClearTok Users Have Removed 1 Billion TikTok Reposts
On September 26, 2026, ClearTok users passed 1 billion removed TikTok reposts. Here is how we count it, where the reposts came from, and why TikTok still makes you remove them one at a time.

- ClearTok users have removed more than 1 billion TikTok reposts. Our counter, which starts on March 18, 2026, passed 1,000,000,000 on September 26, 2026.
- The current pace is 13 to 15 million reposts a day, roughly 160 every second.
- TikTok still has no bulk delete for reposts. Its official help page lists only one-at-a-time ways to remove one.
How we counted
ClearTok records how many reposts each cleanup removes, per account and per day. Daily totals start on March 18, 2026, when we began keeping them in this form. Cleanups that happened before that date are not included, so the real total is higher.

Where the reposts came from
In the 30 days to September 26, 2026:
- People in the United States removed 36 million reposts. The average US account cleared 782 reposts in that window, and the median was 280.
- People in Europe removed 49 million reposts.
Most people are not deleting one embarrassing video. They are clearing years of taps they never meant to keep.
Why people clear their reposts
Reposts are more public than most people think. According to TikTok's help page on reposts, checked on September 26, 2026:
- On a public account, your reposts show on your profile's Reposts tab for everyone.
- On a private account, your followers see them on your profile and in their For You feed.
- Other people can reply to your reposts, and your comment privacy settings don't apply to those replies.
The reasons we hear most are ordinary ones: a new job, a new semester, a new relationship, or simply not being the person who reposted all of that in 2022. Creators also clear reposts so their page matches what they make now.
How to clear yours
The manual way
TikTok offers three ways to remove a repost, and each removes one at a time:
- Open the video, tap Share, then Delete repost.
- Press and hold the video, then tap Remove repost.
- Tap your profile photo on the reposted video, then tap Remove.
That works for a handful. It does not work for 782.
The faster way
