ClearTok is committed to protecting your privacy. We design the product so Social Media removal actions happen locally in your device whenever possible, while collecting only the data needed to run the website, accounts, subscriptions, and reliability features. This Privacy Policy explains how our website and repost remover Application handle information.
Key Point: ClearTok performs core removal actions within your device or device. We do not store your Social Media password, Social Media session cookies, or copies of your Social Media videos on our servers, but we do process limited account, usage, and technical metadata as described below.

How Our Extension Works
ClearTok operates by automating the same actions you could perform manually on Social Media platform:
- Accessing your public Social Media profile (which you're already logged into)
- Finding reposted videos using Social Media's public interface
- Sending delete requests directly to Social Media's servers
- All processing happens locally in your device session
What We Collect
To operate the website, extension and Application, enforce limits, provide subscription benefits, and diagnose issues, we collect limited non-content data such as:
- Account information: if you sign in, we may store your email address, display name, avatar, and related account/subscription identifiers
- Usage data: session IDs, daily removal totals, entitlement checks, and related plan/account linkage
- Technical metadata: IP address, country/region, device or user-agent, app or extension version, referrer, and UTM campaign parameters for website attribution
- Operational diagnostics: session status, timeout or error events, high-level process counts, and your public Social Media username when needed to detect logged-in state or troubleshoot the workflow
- Feedback you choose to submit: ratings and text feedback sent from the extension, Application or website
We do not collect your Social Media password, Social Media session cookies, or copies of your Social Media videos. The extension or Application may maintain a temporary local list of removed entries so you can review or export them; this stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Cookies and the Extension
Our website uses a secure, HttpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. When the extension calls api.cleartok.io for account lookup or usage reporting, requests to our domain may include this cookie so we can associate usage with your ClearTok account and subscription. We do not send this website cookie to third-party domains.
Your Social Media cookies remain in your device and are used only in requests made directly to Social Media while the extension or Application runs.
Product Analytics and Attribution
Our Product uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site and improve the user experience. We may also record visit attribution data for premium and sign-in flows so we can understand which campaigns and entry points are working.
These analytics and attribution tools may collect or infer:
- Page views and session duration
- Click, scroll, and interaction patterns on our Product
- Device and browser information
- General geographic location (country/region level)
- Referring Products and campaign parameters (such as UTM tags)
Extension and Application Permissions
Our extension and Application require minimal permissions to function:
- Access to Social Media platform: Required to interact with your Social Media profile and perform deletions
- Storage: Used only to save your extension and Application preferences locally in your device
These permissions are used solely for the extension and Application's core functionality and nothing else.
Data Security
Because core Social Media actions run in your device or device, we avoid centrally storing your Social Media credentials, Social Media cookies, or video copies. The limited account, subscription, analytics, and diagnostic data we do retain is stored in systems used to operate the service.
Our extension and Application communicate directly with TikTok's servers using your existing logged-in session, maintaining the same security standards as when you use TikTok normally.
Data Retention
Account and subscription records are retained for as long as needed to provide the service and handle billing or support. Usage, session, and diagnostic records are retained for a limited period to enforce fair use and improve reliability, and we periodically aggregate or prune raw records. Feedback you submit is stored for Product improvement. You can contact us to request deletion of account-linked data where applicable.

- Google and Microsoft: For optional account sign-in
- Chrome Web Store and Apple App Store: For extension and Application distribution

Your Rights
Depending on how you use ClearTok Product, you may have the ability to:
- You can uninstall our extension at any time
- You can clear your device's local storage to remove local extension and Application preferences and locally stored attribution data
- You can request deletion of account-linked data or feedback you submitted, subject to billing, security, or legal requirements
- You can opt out of or limit Product analytics using device settings or privacy extensions
- You can manage or cancel an active subscription through the billing portal when available
Delete Your Account
If you would like to delete your account and associated data, please do so directly in the app under Account Management, or send an email to [email protected] . We will process deletion requests within 7 business days.
To help us verify the request, please contact us from the email address associated with your account or include enough account information for us to locate it.
Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're under 13, please do not use our service.
